Cancellation Notice
Dear 2020 Graduates,
With the growing impact of COVID-19 on our lives and work, and in continued response to Governor Sisolak’s Shelter-in-Place orders, the Black Community Organizations Network (BCON) committee has made the difficult decision to cancel the 42ndAnnual BCON Baccalaureate Ceremony scheduled to take place on Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at the Orleans Arena.
Please know that the BCON committee does not take this cancellation lightly, as we recognize the positive impact that this celebration has on our community each year. While nothing can ever replace the beauty and joy of coming together to recognize our students, we know that practicing social distancing will help keep our community safe. We have decided to move forward with our 2020 BCON scholarships. All recipients will be selected and awarded in May 2020.
